EMS Assist Patient Removed From Roof

Just after 11:30 hours the station was alerted with EMS to 101 S Broad St for a fall victim. Engine with a crew of 3 on radio clearing up from a fire inspection made quick response. Engine and EMS was advised by communications report of a male that fell from 3rd floor roof landed on 2nd floor roof. Engine arrived and crew was advised patient on the flat roof with leg injury. Crew made way up to the roof via ground ladder. Crews confirm report and advise command patient unable to walk. Command requested Tower 92 to assist with patient removal. Tower 926 arrived and both crews worked to remove patient off the roof. Patient was transfer over to EMS. Station cleared scene.

Duty Engine 511 was on location in the area of Logan and Morris Street where a contractor had struck a gas line. Crews are working with PSE&G to secure the affected line. There was no immediate threat to the residents the line was secured, and the scene was turned over to PSE&G

At around 1345hrs Woodbury Fire Department along with Woodbury Police Department were dispatched to the area of 27 Cooper Street for a material spill. Engine 511 arrived on location to find a New Jersey Transit bus disable in the roadway and leaking a large amount of diesel fuel.

The Woodbury Fire Department was dispatched to the area of 212 S Evergreen Avenue for an odor of exterior fumes. Upon the arrival of Ladder 516 the crew investigated to find a fuel leak from the Fuel 1 Gas Station of an undetermined amount of gasoline.

Engine 513 an Utility 517 responded to Paulsboro for a fire in a residence on the 400 block of Billingsport Rd, Engine 511 remained staffed in the city and standing by for any in town emergencies.

Engine 513 operated on this all hands fire, at Kingswick Apartments in West Deptford Township. Added as an additional engine company. The fire was quickly located in the walls of a 1st floor apartment. The fire is being investigated by the Gloucester County Fire Marshals Office.

At around 1820hrs Taskforce 5 was dispatched to the 300 block of Hunter Street for a reported Dwelling Fire. 513 responded with the on duty staffing of 3. Engine 513 arrived to find a 1.5 story single family home with smoke showing and upgraded the box to all hands working.

Shortly before 7am this morning a tractor trailer and multiple passenger vehicles collided in West Deptford Twp. and came to rest in both North Bound & South Bound lanes of Route 295 in the area of Exit 22.

Crews operated at an early morning fire on the 600 Block of North Broad Street. The first arriving units arrived with heavy fire conditions and reports of entrapment. No civilian injuries were reported and 1 firefighter was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.
